I need a way for days to pass in a GKC platformer horror game I’m making, as I want the game to get more unnerving and difficult as the days go on.
I actually have a lot of good ideas. I’m also good at poetry, I could help very efficiently, if you need lore help.
Though, for day and night cycle I could not help.
what? I didn’t mention anything about poetry…
I assumed you wanted something like lore to get unnerving as well.
I already have lore in mind! I just needed a way to track days, and a way for days to pass.
edit: yoyoman is cooking, I just know it…
Oh, forgive me. I usually jump at the chance to help with lore. Since I am horrid at devices I am going to leave this topic to the ones who know how to use devices. Have a good day.
Ohhh~ Maybe add a black barrier across the whole map with transparency at 0.80, then add a counter going down from 120 and when it reaches 0 it activates the barrier then when it reaches 0 again it de-activates the barrier then it will keep on repeating.
(Repeater and Counter loop)
Sounds pretty interesting, you can use trigger loop with long intervals (for example, 180 seconds) to switch off day and night, wire the trigger to the dark barrier in the background for the night/day effect.
You could perhaps utilize counters for the difficulty part, with every time the trigger loop runs, the counters increment their values to track & alternate the current difficulty level.
thank you yoyoman!
Sorry I wasn’t able to post earlier, the bell rung when it was uploading haha.
I made this real quick if you want to use it.
what about when the hour reaches 13, or how the time might just look like
12:0 (which looks a lil odd)
I did say I created it quickly. It’s pretty simple to fix those issues haha
its alright I managed to fix it,
LAST REPLY!!! (unless slim answers this last question)
