Update: I figured out how to do this. I set a channel each counter to a property device. Then set a checker to check each property. There is a button that runs the checker and once the checker passes all three properties, it activates a button that unlocks the barrier/door.
Last May/June, I created a Gimkit for my students. One of the levels required them to solve a math problem. Then using buttons to change a counter, then once each counter shows the correct number, it opens a door. I remember it working when I first created it, but testing out the level today, the door opens no matter what numbers I enter on the counter.
I don’t know if a specific device was removed since I created it, if I accidentally deleted something, or what happened. But I cannot find the original post I found that gave me the idea.
So, I have an image of items of two different colors. The kids are supposed to count the number of each color item, then multiply. Then, enter the product in the counters. There are three different counters, one for each place value (hundreds, tens, ones), then they push a button that unlocks the door if the code is correct. I notice I had a trigger wired to the button and the barrier door, but nothing is connecting the button or the trigger to the counters.
I have ten different levels, and I wanted to do something different and unique. I had this set up and working last spring/summer. I only just signed back in today since last June, and it isn’t working anymore. I really don’t want to change the level and I already have questioners in other levels
I know how to do the questioner. I have them on several other of the levels. I had this working last year. I just don’t know what is missing now to make it not work.
so do you have it for each counter for when the counter target is reached it sends signal to door and when all 3 counters have reached their target it then opens doors
that’s the pretty basic way you could do it
like have 3 barriers and 1 will disappear when a number is right but don’t make it obvious to the students that a barrier disappeared make the barrier have full color and not transparent
