Class ideas for a platformer

Hello gimkitters [1] So im wanting to make a platoformer game for once [2] and well… i know im gonna be wanting to make it somewhat different from others

Normally in a platformer, theres one objective, and only one way, get to the end

What im wanting is somehwat the same objective [3] different paths… mostly accessable to all [4]

But most importantly CLASSES, yes… i think i said that correctly

The reason why im wanting classes is for a bit of difficulty in the game, since now you need to stratigize which the class you take (your not gonna be allowed to change though)

So if you have any class ideas… i would like you to use this format i made

  1. class name
  2. difficulty ussage
  3. passive ability
  4. activatable ability
  5. pros and cons of the class [5]

Now the main thing im gonna have the player climb is a mountain so you can make it fit what the map will be… or you can make it more in your own liking [6]

When you pressed the button it’ll teleport you to somewhere which could be a ending or different path, (turn the button invisible so it’s not obvious) and change a object to something else if you want

Uhmmm… thanks i guess… though thats not the main reason i made this topic… i was asking for ideas with classes… not endings [1]

Oops, me English is awful you could probably do some mechanical stuff? Like for example we have IB prep (just mechanical and robot building)

uh can u explain what each of these means?

Class name → what the class is called when you are in the selecting area
Difficulty usage → how hard it will be to use to beat the game
Passive ability → an ability that doesn’t need to be activated
Activatable ability → an ability that starts working for a bit once used
Pros and cons → ups and down sides ti the class

Class name: Runner
difficulty usage: I don’t really know what you mean by this.
passive ability: speed boost
activatable ability: dash
pro and cons of class: upside is that the speed boost can help you get past massive jumps easier and the dash can help you pass other players con is that for small jumps its very hard

pro and cons: you do not have as much health as much classes but you are faster and can leave behind pranks/traps

Use fragility for health and give someone a gadget and call them the griefer class

well I remember saying this idea in another topic, i’ll say it again because I think it was cool :P.

  • difficulty usage:
    medium/hard
  • passive ability:
    idk :sob:
  • activatable ability
    Slip- 1x movment speed for 5 seconds. (or more idk)
  • pros and cons of the class:
    The cons are: your speed is slower when you are walking on the ground. (not when you jump) The pros: nothing really. and the obstacles and candy and fruit I guess. oh and the ground is pink- or any other frosting color.

I probably did this wrong but that’s not OK :+1:

Class ~ Guardian
:star::star::star: (idk I play too much forsaken so I did it on a scale of 1-5 stars.
Passive - Protection: moves at 0.8 speed and has 25 extra health
Ability - Bash: Slows down by 50% for 1 second and then charges at 2x speed anyone hit will slow down the by 30% for 3 seconds. Regardless if the ability hits a target the ability will go on cooldown for 30 seconds.

Pr0s ~
Has extra health
Ability slows and does damage

Cons ~
Moves slowly
Ability has a windup and long cooldown

….this is a parkour game that is designed to be playable on single player

Alright… uhmmm… ima just gonna put this out because im noticing some people adding things to be damagers in abilitys [1]

The only way to annoy people would be with traps… i dont want ppl to eliminate others (because people could camp a spawn and just spawn kill everyone) [2]

Also anything I like MIGHT get added to the game with/without changes

Activatible Ability: Horrific Horde
Raise a mix of Ozis and Siraths wielding Wooden Wands and Snowball Launchers respectively, Uncommon rarity. Duration of 45 seconds, cool down of 120 seconds.
Buffs: Buffed Damage, More Lives (if the game is life based)
Cons: Reduced Speed, Less Health
