Changing Character Colors

This is starting from this, but I wanted to set it up better as a research topic
Possible Character device bug

What We Know
  • If you use a customization gim and change it from default and use a character with the same gim you will go back to default
  • If another player joins after you with the same gim in a different color you change to that one
  • We haven’t figured out how to change sentries colors Other than barriers but that isn’t truely changing the color
  • Scarflet, Custom Coaster, Huebert, and Crimson Cruz are customizable
  • Each color of each gim has the same file name, hence the color switching
What We've Done
  • Change other players and character through late joiners
  • Force players to use a certain color
  • Change the color of the guy in Apocalypse (not useful but still cool)

If you can find a respawn glitch that infinitely k1lls you but doesn’t stop you from moving, this would change you colors.

so when a play or sentry respawns, they have this weird color on them

Yeah that’s just the immunity indicator color.

Not exactly what we were going for but interesting nonetheless

That’s immunity I thought it was just what happened after respawn and had no effect

Could you possibly see if we can transfer this over to mine?

Using the Damage Boost device also changes the player’s color, is this helpful?
