TLDR stealth sequence no work good. player to dumdum to know and instead fight sentry
I’ve got a part in my map where there’s this giant sentry (with a custom look, this was made before the sentry size update, and i wanted to keep it because it’s bigger than a 2x size sentry), and you’ve gotta sneak around it. Earlier today, I got a friend to play test this, and he just tried to fight the thing. So i’m afraid that most people ain’t gonna put the pieces together. They might waste all their ammo on it (it has 99999 hp), or just assume it’s not stealth at all, and waste 70 hp waltzing around instead of hiding behind props.
I’ve made a few efforts to communicate this, but it ain’t really clicking. I’ve put 2 enemies from an earlier level trying to fight this thing, before both getting KO’d. I’m taking inspiration from the Gargantua scene from Half-Life. But that’s really all I can think of. Got any tips?
If you have the season ticket, make them watch a cut scene using a camera point and a dialogue device and look like they are fighting but not working no matter what (no season ticket- pop up that comes from the bottom an looks like the dialogue)
stay on topic guys

uhh
if the stuff you’re saying is true, then please go to a therapist, that kind of work environment never gives off horror vibes.
Anyways…
Maybe you could make the 2 enemies that are getting permanently put to sleep bosses that didn’t actually get sent up or very difficult enemies.
Maybe have a gim hiding behind a prop, then pop out to say hello or HEY!! (Depending on friend or foe) then when they pop out, they get attacked by the big gim.
