4 Useful Things You Probably Didn't Know In Gimkit creative

It’s 2am now, all normal people are sleeping (I want to sleep too) and I’m sitting here making a guide… :sleepy: okay, let’s get started

#1 player jump range

player jump range is 8 blocks max (more than 60 fps is needed for this jump to be possible)

Screen recording 2025-03-14 1.21.50 AM

but if you use double jump you can jump 13 blocks which is really shocking this is what it looks like
Screen recording 2025-03-14 1.22.13 AM

If you didn’t know this, you owe me a chocolate bar

#2 renaming devices/props

if you didn’t know you can rename items like this…

just a button right?

But

if you click here…

YOU CAN RENAME THIS DIVIDE TO ANYTHING YOU WANT

ok, but seriously, this is really useful, let’s say you’re doing something really big and you have a bunch of different triggers/zones/buttons/etc and you don’t even know why you put them and what they’re responsible for, or you need to connect wires/channels to some device and you don’t know where exactly you need to connect it. I think this is very useful!

its even showing here

If you didn’t know this, you owe me a chocolate bar

#3 you can connect multiple channels to 1 object

Have you ever had a situation where you need to connect several channels to 1 object and you can’t do it and you have to use these uglу wires that spoil the look of the whole map?

No problem, it turns out you can use several channels in 1 object as shown in the photo

yeah maybe many cool creators know this… but many also didn’t know this… I don’t know give me your opinion

If you didn’t know this, you owe me a chocolate bar, yeah another one

#4 OP jump glitch

this is a bug, but it is very difficult to use because it is not clear how it works, I sat and studied it for more than 30 minutes (I’m serious) and all I understood is that it is better to turn off the Internet and quickly turn it back on so that it works better… but this is not certain, maybe someone will be able to study this bug closer…

so what is the point of a bug?

for it to work you need a computer, well, or at least a keyboard and a mouse.

as I said the maximum limit of a double jump is 13 blocks, but if during the second jump you press ctrl+tab and then quickly turn off the Internet and then turn it on and quickly go to gimkit and jump where you need, then with a small chance you will be able to jump over the limit of 13 blocks. I hope someone will study this bug, I don’t even have a normal opportunity to show you how it works because I can’t upload such a long gif (it will be up to 10+ seconds and gif compression will not help enough) also it should be almost the entire screen so that it can be seen better. in short, the bug is very complex and depends on luck and your speed. I would create canv@ and show the full video there, but they banned them…

If you didn’t know this, you owe me a chocolate bar

#5 gim and layer WIP

to begin with i had in mind 5 facts, but #5 about layers and gims (sounds weird I know), at the moment for some reason i can’t show you what i wanted, it just doesn’t work properly, i’ll search a bit about it later

write your opinions about this mini guide
do you like this style of guides? (adding memes to it and adding jokes to it)
do you like it?
as I said I am making this guide at night sleepy, so there may be details that I missed, that is why I am making this a wiki, and also maybe someone will want to add something from themselves that others do not know

also tell me how many chocolates you owe me, I’ll be interested to know

and yes, according to tradition

 if you’ve ever eaten penguins :penguin:

according to my calculations I am owed 59 chocolates

I OWE YOU NO CHOCOLATE BARS BWAHAHA—
I’ve gone crazy
Nice guide, but there are a few things that would make it better.
First, maybe make the player jump range longer? Like how that works, or the velocity of the Gim?
Second, perhaps make the OP jump glitch actually like, show? You can screen record everything and do it…
Other than that, great guide!

yk what, I’m going to give a fun fact.
if you have a sentry jump in your map (fragility on and have a sentry fire the player upwards) if you double jump just as the projectile hits you, you will go up higher than usual, useful for alternative paths using one mechanic.

I really like this guide style. It makes it much easier to sit and read everything and actually pay attention. (ADHD mind blown :exploding_head:)
I owe you 5 chocolate bars and I’m currently in cocoa debt and the chocolate IRS has broken into my home.
Giving this guide an A for ADHD friendly.

What in the actual-
That’s super wrong. That “guide” you linked is a help topic that barely connects to this, this is 4 useful tips for GKC not a help topic for asking what are 4 important things for GKC.
Pay attention, dude.
